Liquid Limit Device
Liquid Limit Device, Hand operated The apparatus
consists of a brass cup, a crank and cam mechanism,
mounted on a rubber base of a specified hardness.
A brass pin having a knurled end for easy
removal holds the brass cup. The height of
fall of the cup can be adjusted by a horizontal
lead screw. Supplied complete with: Grooving
Tool Type 'A' and Gauging Block as per IS:9259,
IS:2720 (Part-V).
Fitted with a counter to register the numbers
of drops of the cup. |

The device is identical to above but is fitted
with a F.H.P. motor to drive the operating
mechanism of cup at 120 rpm ensuring uniformity
in performing test and is supplied with Grooving

It is designed to Operates on 220 V, 50 Hz,

Direct Shear Apparatus,
Hand Operated
IS : 2720 (Part XIII)
The unit confirms to IS2720. It has a hand
operated horizontal loading system for shearing
the specimen. Hangers are provided for creating
normal stress.
It comprises :-
i) Shear box assembly, 60 mm square, complete
with a U-bracket, guide pins and spacing screws,
made of brass.
ii) Gripper assembly consisting of two plain
grid plates, two perforated grid plates, one
base plate and one loading pad, all made of
brass.
iii) Two porous stones, each 6 mm thick, fitting
the shear box
iv) Shear box housing of brass, complete with
two ball roller strips.
v) Loading unit with normal loading of 8kg/cm2
on 60 mm square specimen.
vi) Specimen cutter for a specimen size of
60 mm x 60 mm x 25 mm.
vii) Set of weights to give a normal stress
upto 3 kg/cm2 through lever, comprising 4
of 0.05 kg/cm2, 1 of 0.1 kg/cm2, 1 of 0.2
kg/cm2, 3 of 0.5 kg/cm2 and 1 of 1 kg/cm2.

The unit of electrically operated to give
the following 12 rates of stains i.e. 1.25,
0.625, 0.125, 0.05, 0.025, 0.01, 0.005, 0.002,

The apparatus is suitable for operation on
230 volts single phase A.C. supply. Hangers

Test Sieves
Our test sieves are available in one piece
frame of 8" diameter with suitable lid
and receiver. Its frame is made up of spun
brass and without any joint in it. It has
clean rigid design of minimum weight and free
from corners where the material could be lodged.
An essential feature of test sieves is that
the mesh should be flat, taut and uniform
and with permanent tension round the whole
circumference.
Following

permit easy and smooth nesting on each others
and also with lid and receivers.

bench mounting. These are incorporated with

Sieve Shaker M-I[Gyratory]
Carries upto 7 sieves of 150mm or 200mm diameter.
The shaker is driven by a ¼ h.p (motor
through a reduction a reduction gear immersed
in oil. The sieve table does not rotate but
is inclined from the vertical axis and the
direction of inclination changes progressively
in clockwise direction. If the stop-pin below
the table is removed, the shaker can have
a rotary motion. In addition to this gyaratory
motion of the table, there is an upward and
downward movement ensuring that each square
cm of the sieve is utilized. a pair of rods
and holder are supplied. The holder can be
fixed on the top of the upper most sieves
and thus the sieve set is firmly held. Suitable
for operation on 230 Volts, 50 cycles single
phase, A.C. Supply.

Shaker ROTAP Motorised
To make the process of sieving simpler and
quicker,we offer Rotap sieve shaker. This
produces circular shaking of the sieves at
the same time the sieves are tapped. The mechanism
for imparting circular action and tapping
is oil immersed in a tank and is motorized.
The shaker can accommodate upto 7 nos. sieve
of dia 150mm or 200mm. Suitable operation
of 230 volts A.C. supply single phase.it is
fitted with time switch for precise operation.

The apparatus is suitable for field density
estimation of fine and medium grained soils,
as per IS: 2720 (Part XXVIII). It consists

ii) Calibrating Container,100mminner dia and
150 mm deep with flange 50 mm wide.
iii) Metal tray 300mm square x 40mm deep with
